Air Fryer Avocado Fries

A simple recipe for making avocado fries in the air fryer. Oven option in notes.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 whole avocados
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs

Instructions

  • Slice the avocado into fry-shapes.

  • In a small bowl, mix flour and spices.
    ¼ cup flour, 1 tsp cumin, ½ tsp chili powder
  • Whisk egg in another small bowl. Place bread crumbs in a third bowl.
    1 whole egg, 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • Dip each avocado fry in the flour/spice mixture, then the egg, then the bread crumbs and place in the air fryer.
  • Air fry at 400° for 7 minutes, flipping once.

Notes

You can substitute in other spice mixtures. Garlic powder and parmesan would be a good choice. I would increase the amount of parmesan. You can also add in fresh herbs (pictured), if you have them on hand.
For the oven, bake on a lined cookie sheet at 425 for 10-12 minutes, flipping once.
